Quality Control Technician

Location: Alvin, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $21.00–$26.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our growing team in Alvin, Texas. If you have a background in chemistry or materials science, enjoy hands-on laboratory work, and are passionate about quality and precision, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards through laboratory testing, data analysis, and equipment maintenance in a safe and collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare samples and perform laboratory analyses using a variety of analytical instruments.
  • Conduct capacity and absorbency testing using specialized performance testing equipment.
  • Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials and finished products following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Verify in-process testing completed by the production team.
  • Accurately record test results, maintain documentation, and assist with interpreting data.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain the laboratory retain sample library.
  • Identify potential hazards and promote a safe working environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Background in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience using laboratory analytical equipment.
  • Ability to quickly learn laboratory techniques and apply them to solve technical challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive, dependable, and safety-focused approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LECO and/or XRF analytical equipment.
