Our History
Specialist Catalyst Business Established
UNICAT was established in 2000 as a privately-owned company with the corporate office in Alvin, Texas, offering catalyst products and services to the refining, petrochemical, and gas processing industries.
Growth, Expansion and Sales
The business enjoyed continued steady growth and expansion, including establishing manufacturing operations in China, before being purchased by White Deer Energy a private equity firm, in 2020.
UK Manufacturing Established
In 2021, a manufacturing facility in Dewsbury was acquired, now known as UNICAT Catalyst, a move which enabled the business to provide all catalysts from a single supplier, offering customers innovative technologies, solutions, and cost savings.
Recognition for Innovation
In 2022 our UK counterpart UNICAT was awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise: Innovation for their hard work and dedication on Magcat® Catalyst.
Strengthening Our Supply Chain
In 2023 we opened a new manufacturing facility in Vietnam, primarily focusing on adsorbents, further strengthening UNICAT's supply chain.
Optimized PSA Systems Solutions
In 2024, we merged the expertise of two well-established companies in Combustion & Controls, rebranding them as UNICAT Technologies. In October 2024, we formed an exclusive partnership with a PSA design and manufacturing firm, further broadening UNICAT's capabilities.
Expanding Manufacturing Capabilities
In 2024, we expanded our Alvin site to include a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, specializing in the production of adsorbents for one of our key partners. This strategic addition enhances the resilience and efficiency of our supply chain.
