Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Technical Advisor supporting the Sales Team in pre- and post-sales activities
  • Provide direct technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, process optimisation, and start-up assistance for steam methane reforming, ammonia, purification and PSA units.
  • Analyse plant operating data to assess catalyst performance and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations and reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise catalyst loading, activation, and unit start-up at customer sites.
  • Conduct spent catalyst analysis and performance reviews to support ongoing customer relationships.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the modelling tools for SMR, Ammonia and PSA.
  • Support the growth of the business by developing a foundational understanding of the purification business and modelling tools.
  • Develop technical presentation skills and support sales team with customer visits when appropriate.
  • Support Senior Technical Manager with product documentation requirements including product data sheets and SDS.

Skills and Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a plant operations role or similar technical service position, ideally with exposure to steam methane reforming, ammonia, or PSA technologies.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven track record in process optimization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with commercial teams and external customers.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support customer and business needs.
  • A strong competence in the standard Microsoft Suite of tools.
  • Knowledge of programming and additional IT skills are very favourable.
  • Experience with technical customer service is highly desirable.
