Position: Regional Sales Director, Europe

Location: Working from home, but with 40% of time spent travelling internationally, within and outside of Europe.

Job Overview

The Regional Sales Director, Europe is responsible for effectively leading and managing a team of Regional Sales Managers, Technical Services Managers, Agents and Distributors in aligning sales activities with business growth objectives in order to grow the sales territory.

They will be expected to identify and grow new business, capitalise on existing business and expand sales offering through the introduction of new product lines. Processes and systems to be reviewed to ensure compliance and efficiencies are managed through the CRM system. This is a key position that will work with other Regional Sales Directors, the Executive Vice President of Sales and President of Sales Strategy. 

Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Duties

  • Leading a regional sales team, promoting UNICAT Business growth focussing on the sales of Catalyst products to a range of industries including Ammonia, Refining, Syngas and Methanol.
  • Setting, monitoring and reviewing teams’ sales targets and KPI’s.
  • Deliver and sell UNICAT products to new and repeat customers, maximize new business opportunities where possible
  • Actively participating in business/sales conferences and other Networking events to represent the business and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Arranging and attending regular sales visits across the Europe region.
  • Liaising with Technical, Commercial and Production teams to ensure orders are dealt with efficiently.
  • Ensuring that the team uses CRM effectively so that sales data can be used for accurate regional budgeting and forecasting.
  • Understanding new product pipeline and planning for roll out and commercialisation
  • Developing and managing the regional Sales Agent/Distributor network ensuring that they are fully engaged and product and compliance training is regularly delivered to maximise sales effectiveness
  • Performing the role with honesty, Integrity and adherence to all legal and ethical standards of the company.
  • Working from home, but with 40% of time spent travelling in the Europe region upon requirement.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Have Senior Sales Management experience within technical sales, ideally within ammonia, refining, syngas, or methanol industries.
  • Be a confident and charismatic salesperson, with excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Catalyst Sales experience is desirable but candidates with production plant experience of ammonia/refining/syngas/methanol will be considered.
  • Have knowledge of purification adsorbents and catalysts.
  • Chemical engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Language skills: English.
  • Flexible and willing to travel.
