UNICAT Catalyst Technologies, Inc. was formed in January 2000 as an unrivaled company in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. The driving force behind UNICAT’s formation were three fundamental principles missing in the traditional larger suppliers in the market:
Since 2000, UNICAT is proud to have stayed true to this course. We have developed over 100 innovative products in niche catalyst markets such as Sulfur Guards, Chloride Removal, Arsine Purification, Hydroprocessing, Bed Grading technology, Polymerization, Sweetening Process and Synthetic Gas (Hydrogen) while maintaining a cost structure lower than all current competitors in the market.
UNICAT's production centers are located in the Peoples Republic of China in ISO certified partner facilities. Our Quality Control offices are engaged next to the plant personnel to ensure the higher standard of product quality.
UNICAT's main technical offices are located in Alvin TX, while satellite and regional offices are located in Aruba, Brussels; Jubail, Saudi Arabia and Dalian China. A large inventory is maintained both in Asia and North America to rapidly meet all customer requirements.
UNICAT is able to develop large variations of product sizes and chemistries to customer needs. Many unique one-off formulations have and are currently being made for customer requirements.
UNICAT provides on-site technical services, toll manufacturing, vessel and preliminary process design, catalyst recovery and recycling in addition to the traditional line of catalyst products we provide.
Jim McKimmy is the co-founder and co-owner of Unicat Catalyst. He holds the position of Unicat’s CEO and he is based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Alvin, TX. He works to oversee the day-to-day operations here in our US warehouses, as well as in our manufacturing plants in China. He has been in the catalyst and chemical distribution industry for over 30 years. Jim obtained an Associate Degree in Business from Youngstown State University. In the 12 years that he has been with Unicat Jim has help to develop a small business into a corporation capable of meeting the ever-changing demands in our industry as well as to stay up today with the latest developments in the technology for our industry. Jim has built 3 successful businesses from the ground up. Jim speaks both English and Chinese Mandarin.
During his free time Jim enjoys collecting sports memorabilia, watching sports, spending quality time with his family, working out, and riding off road vehicles.

He has helped to create a successful company because of the successful team he helped put together. His over 30 years of experience has developed Unicat into a competitive company in the global catalyst industry. We are confident that with Jim, Mani and Eric as leaders in our company that Unicat will continue to rise as top competitor in our industry.
Mani Erfan is the co-founder and co-owner of Unicat Catalyst. He holds the position of Unicat’s Vice President of Technical Sales and he is based out of our corporate office in Alvin, TX, but he represents our company all over the world and has developed relationships with several of our customers in many regions around the world. He attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering with High Honors. Before coming to work with Unicat he worked with Haldor Topsoe and Parkans International. Since co-founding Unicat, Mani has helped to develop all of our products and services we offer. He helped to design our Activated Filtration Disks (AFS) as a licensed technology that is currently installed in many units around the world. Mani specializes in Purification and Syn-gas Catalyst technology, as well as developing a team of exceptional Technical Sales Engineers.
In his free time, Mani works on his missions, and creative Satellite TV Programming. Mani has the opportunity to travel to many different parts of the world, and enjoys learning about the cultures and cuisine in the regions he travels to.

Eric Liu is the co-founder of Unicat Catalyst. He holds the position of Unicat’s International Director and Chinese Sales agent and he is based in Dalian, China. He is currently representing our company internationally. Eric has worked with Unicat Catalyst for 12 years coordinating with all of our manufacturing plants, handling logistics, maintaining our joint ventures, and all sales in China. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Business. Eric has 15 years of experience in the catalyst industry as well as an extensive knowledge in the international market. He also speaks fluent Chinese, and English.
During his free time Eric enjoys playing ping pong, running, swimming, and traveling.
